The grey wastes of the land of the elderly

It feels a bit like the good old days. No village. No note from 1845 saying they were all going to get lurgy because of south-westerly winds; when not growing chick peas and hunting hares; no demographic crisis in the 1960s. No, just a road and some businesses.

We are going past a swinging hot spot. It is the MR Dance Club and it opens Saturday 11.30pm till 9am Sunday morning. It has a facebook presence. https://www.facebook.com/DiscotecaMRDanceClub/?_rdr   Most people leave stars, not words. Xavi was more vocal. ‘Good party. But the ventilation/air conditioning was sorely lacking.’   Yoni Rotten, who is mentioned only for the name opined ‘They're letting minors in. Whoever is responsible should take note and act.’

The crematorium is open 8am to 8pm daily, 8.30s Friday. It has a website but no reviews. They're letting minors in. Whoever is responsible should take note and act.  https://www.funerariariberadeljiloca.es/

We are turning off the N-234 and popping into the service station. https://smarttravelers.areas.com/areas/es/store/AREA-MONREALCAMPO  It appears to be at its busiest between 1pm and 3pm and fewest people hang around its dead portals from 5am to 8am.

It gets 3.3 stars. You either love it or hate it.  Helen was pleased in a four star sort of way. ‘One of the best service stations for motorhomes overnight stay wr have used. Spotless showers and toilets. Grey waste and toilet emptying facilities. Plenty of space for a quiet night sleep (weather dependant admitted always seems to be stormy when we stay). Great fresh food and amazing coffees. Would most definitely recommend. There is a 1 star hotel here too, which I'm sure would be great if the cleanliness of the rest of the services is anything to go by.’

MIG-LON was all one star yesterday. ‘The food prices are outrageous for the quality. The area is set up as a bus stop, mainly for senior citizens’.  I am not sure if the presence of the old is the issue here. Maybe Mig doesn’t like buses.

We are going up the A-1509, under the motorway and on to tomorrow.
