Missing stones and principled relations

We are passing another reservoir today - the Embalse del Celemin.

There are slim pickings on today's walk.  Apparently  the Conjunto dolménico de El Celemín are nearby. It gets 3.3 stars, from six people. Four months ago Azrael summed it up thusly ‘The dolmens are supposedly in the sand you can see, but they're not there… What's worthwhile is the lake, which smells like rusty metal. The forest is nice for family walks and/or bike rides… It's not well signposted.’

ATCAT is a little more generous, but only a little. ‘The location on Google Maps is incorrect; they are indicated on the path leading to the wooden bridge inside the fence. It is true that they are almost invisible, firstly because of the weeds that have grown and are not cleared, and secondly because they are at ground level and look like a simple stone.

Next we get to Wakana.   https://wakana.es/  At the time of writing it is temporarily closed.  Four months ago Lourdes was very one star. ‘I was going to book for a trip but seeing that they can leave you stranded because of an Amazon Prime recording even after booking (it happened to several schools) and that they have the entire fence of the premises electrified without warning signs, it's better not to go with children.’

At the same time, Noemi, ‘We spent six days there for a training course and I loved the place. The staff were wonderful to all of us. Thank you so much for your kindness.’

OK, I teased you, and me, with the weighty matter of Spanish- San Marinian relations.  Well, diplomatic relations were established between the Holy See and San Marino in 1926. The next was France - in 1965, then Italy, in 1973 and Spain managed it [16th] on 29th April 1992.  FTI the UK managed it on 18th November 1998 and the most recent is Turkmenistan - 157th, 7th November 2025. Today San Marino has an embassy and Madrid, but Spanish visitors have to rely on their ambassador in Rome, for help.

Should you want a 300 page about the relationship between Iberia’s biggest power and one of the least successful footballing nation, these people will sell you it.  https://bilateralnavigator.com/SanMarino-Spain

Spain has played San Marino four times. They were drawn against them in the European Championship qualifiers in 2000.  Spain beat San Marino 6-0 away and 9-0 at home. In the 2006 World Cup  qualifiers the Iberians won 5-0 at home and 6-0 away.

You will have to wait for cricket reports, time to push on.
