A timely review of a child friendly necropolis

Today we are by passing things.  We are bypassing San Jose de Malcocinado. We are by-passing Los Badalejos. We are also by-passing streetview and going cross country. But first, the Venta El Negro.

This looks like so many roadside eateries and, with 4.2 stars, it sits in that zone. A month ago Fran was not happy.  They wrote ‘There needs to be more variety, and there was only one menu available at my table and one other table at 2:30 pm.’  At the same time juan was very happy. ‘I've only gone for breakfast and they serve you everything: lard, pork rinds, pâté and more’

San Jose de Malcocinado is a new town. During the Second Republic 40 settlers arrived to work the communal lands. It was subsequently known as ‘La Yeguada’ - the Stud Farm - because the military stabled mares here.  Alas we are late. The patronal feast was on 15th May, in honour of San Isidro Labrador, who has a chapel here.

On to Los Badalejos.  Here is a 4.8 starred bakery - Panaderia pasteleria Pepe el solsao. https://panaderiapasteleriapepeelsoldao.es/ Two mon’ths ago juan wrote ‘Excellent product and excellent service. It's not cheap, but the prices aren't exorbitant. Highly recommended. The Rosco de Reyes is exquisite, the polvorones and mantecados are delicious, and the country bread is sublime.’

Way over off the track Google notes a ‘Posible necropolis’. I looked. It appears to be on top of a hillock. It is by a built complex with no streetview or ascription.  It has no reviews - but apparently is ‘Good for kids.’  Ok, this is odd.  In between first checking and going back - in fact, three minutes ago to be exact,  Jaime AS has given a unwrded five stars.  Jaime has only given five reviews - one nine years ago.  A year ago he said of an entertainment venue ‘I find it deplorable that smoking is allowed inside a nightclub. From 11:30 p.m. the night I arrived until 4:00 a.m., when they closed, people were smoking normally in front of security.’

We end the day a few hundred metres from a three arched Roman bridge called Puente De Los Tres Ojos.  A couple of years ago Elena wrote ‘The three-arched Roman bridge is located on the Dos Bahías greenway.  Unfortunately, it's not signposted, and it's not just that water doesn't flow beneath it; vegetation has almost completely obscured its beautiful arches.

So it ends.
