Dark sand, clean water, calm to moderate waves
Greenwich Museum has a wonderful display where you see the area growing over time, with railways arriving and the like. This area needs one showing how the bleak and barren cliffs are slowly corseted with concrete and all manner of the arts of engineers to keep them from falling down and blocking the newly arrived roads.
You may be pleased to know that the route we start on has been walked as part of the daily kilometres that were needed to account for this walk. For the life of me I can not remember where we were at the time. I think we might have started the journey back from Santiago - but I may be way out and do not intend to go back the two plus years in posts to find out.

Vision Gregory [3 years ago] ‘Great breakfast. There were five of us, and everything was delicious: cappuccino, mango juice, snacks... for €7 per person. Very friendly staff. The view was magnificent, and the best place for breakfast in Benalmadena is on the beach. There are plenty of options, all €1 cheaper, but much less tasty.’
Sunset Roger [ 2 years ago] ‘Restaurant with beautiful sea views. We ordered a smoothie and tea while watching the sunset. 100% recommended if you want to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere in good company while receiving excellent service.’
Enclave Juan [3 years ago] sorry, no 4, this is 5 star. ‘A beautiful location and the food was very good.’
There are many beaches. The Playa de Arroyo Hondo. It is loved. Well, it is a bit gritty but we are not going to sand-shame it. 86 people give it 3.1 stars. It love Simone’s five stars of three years ago. ‘Ok’. May we all be five star and ok. Pawel was fulsome a month ago.

We will end near Carvajal train station. It is busiest between 5-7pm. The only train that uses it is the C1 which goes from Malaga to Fuenguola. There is one every half hour. The earliest is about 6am and the last at 12.26am. Odd [Odd J Jorgensen] was a bit three star four months ago.
‘Not very impressed. Access from the beach side is a very steep set of stairs. There is a elevator to the platform but you need to access from the opposite side.
Very narrow platform, not much shade to find.’ More tomorrow.
