Beyond the end of Malaga

We are descending. We are descending here because Malaga stretches all the way along to the east until it runs out of beach and becomes cliff and ends, sort of. We are coming out slightly east of this.

We are going through one of those colonies of Malaga, once individual casitas and somewhat isolated sheds. Slowly people have moved in. I blame cars.

We are near a music producer. E-Gipsy Flamenco Electronic Music   The website does not appear to work. Two five star reviews include Isabel’s ‘Very good trio of flamenco artists , nice and relaxing atmosphere. Thanks for a wonderful night.’

We are about to come up with the a huge cement works.  Cementos Cosmos https://www.votorantimcimentos.es/es/  It gets 3.8 stars from 25 reviews. Osvaldo went the full five with this ‘Quick download. If this is your first time here, you need to register your details at the checkpoint.’   Adrian was less happy.  ‘Quick download. If this is your first time here, you need to register your details at the checkpoint.’

So to the beach.  Well, graveling dusty grey extract.  Playa Penon del Cuervo gets 4.3 stars. Last December Marguerite was very happy.  ‘Peñón del Cuervo Beach is a unique and special spot in Málaga. This unspoiled beach boasts stunning natural beauty, with its famous crow-shaped rock rising from the sea. It's perfect for nature lovers and photographers. Access requires descending a path, but it's well worth the effort. There's a picnic area and barbecue facilities surrounded by pine trees. The water is crystal clear, although the rocks make water shoes advisable. It's ideal for snorkeling and diving. A hidden gem where you can enjoy a different and authentic beach day.’

In October Natalia reckoned ‘A beautiful beach with a wild touch, free parking right next to it, and a bar where you can order food and drinks. There are also showers available. Although the beach itself has small pebbles, once you step into the water you’ll find incredibly soft and pleasant sand. Fall in love with this beach!’

My memories of this place are more tired. It was almost twenty years ago and before Easter, and presumably before the pre-season tidy up. The bins were full, the grill spaces ashy and a haphazard rat was mooching about.  I’m sure it has all changed.
