Beware the cold of winter

We are, again, on the road without a streetview.  Little is up here to review - so let’s review it.

The Casa Rural Mirador de los Palomos https://miradordelospalomos.com/ opens with ‘Mirador de los Palomos is a holiday home in the countryside just outside Casabermeja, in the province of Málaga, Andalusia. It's a rural house for 14 people, ideal for family getaways or gatherings of friends. Pets are welcome upon request, but this must be checked before booking.’  They also note ‘Outside, there is a covered barbecue area, another large dining table under the shade of a grapevine overlooking the pool (5x10m, open from May to mid-October) which has total privacy and is equipped with some sun loungers.’

They get 4.1 stars from 47 reviews.  Victor was clear - in a three star way - that it is a summer place.  A month ago he reported in January ‘The house is beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped, and the surroundings are very pleasant. The host was very friendly. However, I wouldn't recommend staying there in winter. They charged us €60 for half a day of heating, which would add up to €480 extra for four full days. Even so, the house was cold (12-15°C), the air conditioning barely heated anything, and the fireplace only covered half the living room. We were traveling with a 7-month-old baby and were quite cold.’    Last summer Jesus reported ‘We stayed with a group of 11 friends for three days. The house was spotlessly clean, with everything we needed (cutlery, blankets, games, etc.)

The owners were incredibly helpful at all times, offering recommendations on what to see in the area and checking in if anything was missing. If we return to the area, we'll definitely stay there again.’

We need some padding.  Back to the superstitions.  Apparently yellow is the colour of sulphur and thus the devil. Do not wear yellow clothes of an interview or when you are about to do some exams.

Putting a bag on the floor will cause you to lose all your money. This may  well be true if you are in one of the more thriving areas for theft.

Tomorrow, something else.
