A smattering of industry and food, but never on a monday.

 We are leaving for the west on the A-7200. I am guessing that this is the old road. It seems a decent stretch, a few modern 60kphs and even 40 for bends and the junctions with other roads. We are freeing ourselves of habitation and will have to make do with industry.

The one stars tend to be five years ago and are all to do with loading times and a bit of not doing Covid well.




There are a smattering of other industries.   Desguace Roma SL are an auto parts store.  https://desguaceroma.com/ It gets 4.8 stars from 46 reviews.   Rob really wasn’t happy four months ago. ‘Before buying a spare part you tell them that you need it urgently and they send you to buy it through the website for shipping within 24 hours, a few hours after buying it you receive an email from the transport agency indicating that it has been picked up and that the delivery day will be a week later, the scrapyard does not respond to the messages, (when they are interested they answer well) the next day the package has not even left the agency, after trying to talk to them all morning they tell you that they will speak to the agency and they call you, of course they do not call, you call them again and the answer is we are leaving at 2, they have not told us anything. In short, if you need something urgently, do not even think about buying here, they are slackers and do not deliver what they offer.’    Four months ago Sebastian said the opposite. ‘They are good and reliable, quick to respond, a 10.’. Make up your own mind by going there at once.

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park.   In North Lincolnshire there is an OS square which is all but empty,  In a single corner stretches a few metres of power cables to spoil the virgin whiteness.  Today’s walk is not so blessed with flat calm.  We will see trees.  We will see ups.  Views are compulsory.  Houses aren’t.  Let's talk about Asturias in the years from 718 to 757. In 711 the full force of the Islamic tide swept from North Africa into Visigothic Spain. At the Battle of Guadalete King Roderic and much of the nobility were killed and the Iberian Peninsula collapsed before the all conquering crescent.  The thing is, Asturias is a long way from the main body of Spain.
