Red Mountain: With wind, beaches, wind, nudes and more wind.

The south of Tenerife has something magnificent and bleak about it. Crowning it is the Montana Roja - a huge lump of geography.  It stands out over the surrounding countryside and has over 1200 reviews.  The top five words are Beach [137], Windy [83], Vision [31], nudist [17] and sunset [17].  A week ago Martina said ‘Nice place, very windy.’.  About the same time Eduardo reckoned ‘Beautiful beach, covered from north winds. Good for chilling, families and couples. Reminder that there is nudists as well.’  All this is for the end of the day.

La Casita de Aitor is next on our route.  It is a woman owned place and, given its location, one for keen on airports.  Aleksandar is the only worded reviewer. They said nothing 22 hours ago.  Fernando left four words. ‘Beautiful and cozy place.’



We end at the Playa del Medano.  It is a place for windsurfing and kitesurfing.  Almost 1000 reviews give 4.5 stars.  Kathy said ‘Great vibe in this lovely little town. Ideal spot for windsurfing, foils and kite surfing - recommend Duotone surf centre for friendly and helpful advice for all levels of the sports. 🌊🪁🥰 …’

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park.
