She's not a charlatan

 It is October.  If we are out before dawn then we are amid concrete, planting and sodium light.  Twilight begins at 7.34 and sunrise at 8.01. Sunset is at 19.35 and twilight ends at 20.01.

I must say the food was amazing, tables stunningly presented and views were outstanding. We were given a free starter and a truly enjoyed lobster seafood paella. Prices were reasonable too. We are in October.  You can tell this because the Spanish are in fur coats and mufflers.  The Brits are going ‘it’s on average 22.7oC’ [they are well informed travellers] ‘let’s swim’.  This is the rainy season - with 5.6cm of rain this month, which is about a seventh of the yearly total.



We are passing the LGBTQ+ friendly mystic, Tarot de Silana.  A year a go Carole wrote ‘I recommend Ana a thousand percent. I met her at the Paris parapsy fair in February 2024. We are near near the Valkyria Fitness Club.  I had to go.  I was hoping for horned helmets and mezzosopranos lounging around in lycra.  It has 500 reviews and gets 4.9 stars.  Yesterday Marcos said ‘10/10 service, a wide variety of machines, for all audiences’  Vladimir opined ‘Perfect gym, they increase the size, have all the equipment i keep coming back. Lost almost €10,000 the blackjack table seemed rigged here. It was downhill all night dealer constantly hitting 21. They opened a private high limit table for me.



Only thing that was good is I got free drinks for my two uncles so they got a €100+ of free drinks but losing €10,000 wasn’t great.

Definitely feels a bit dodgy even though it's quite a new casino.

Just be careful.

A 10/10 experience in this new, smaller version of the Villajoyosa Casino. I must say that the experience was very good, both from the staff and the layout of the establishment.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming, although some members clearly need more experience. I must highlight certain croupiers who, due to their short time on the job, surprised me (of course, they're just as good at work as they are at luck). The guy with the curly hair playing Blackjack was almost impossible to beat, but that doesn't take away from how well he worked (well-drawn cards, very good game rhythm, and correct procedures). The same goes for the young, dark-haired guy in the suit. (Correct and quick calculations, very good customer presence, and, like the previous guy, correct procedures.)


Everything else about the establishment was fine. The restaurant was perfect for dining with privacy, and a very pretty entrance with the mountains in the background.

I hope it gets the voice it needs and returns to what this great Casino once was.

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park.
