‘Loved Mercadona in Vallencia.  Same here.   Stores are bright, clean, aisles amazingly broad, items can be seen.  The floor is flat, smooth, and clean.  There is no line at checkout (but still no self checkout, sadly).  Parking lot right at the exit.   The lot is small, though. Lots of carts, and most of them work (all plastic, light, no rust).  Prices are generally good.   Vegetables and fruits are in good shape, not old and dirty.  The meat section is not so good, only packaged meats.  It is best to use a local charcuterie. Traffic around this store is terrible.  It's slightly more terrible than the rest of the town.  Narrow, tight, fast lakes and competitive drivers.

Colegio Adonai is our last stop today. It is open week days from 9am to 5.15pm   https://colegioadonai.es/  It was founded in 1962 - and the building is criticsed for being out of date.. I am cautious of the reviews of public institutions.  This gets 2.8 stars from 53 reviews.  Manuel was unhappy four months ago.  Four months ago Manuel thought ‘My experience at the center was negative.- Adonai School lacks an updated pedagogical project based on copying and repeating (70s-80s)-The director at the time said she was a psychologist. He was despotic and enjoyed making his employees suffer.- I remember that there was an Asturian teacher in Primary Education who did not know the contents of the course where he taught.- The kitchen was poor and the quantities were just right.



At the same time Willy said ‘Very good experience in this educational center, very good discipline and high level of English. Very affectionate with the students.’



Generally the Principal seems to evoke strong emotions.

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park. One thing we noticed, especially with a small boy in tow, was the number of parks with interesting play equipment.  This is because, in Spain, people seem to like children.  This does make them a semi-public property and people feel free to indulge them with sweetmeats and pass comments. ‘I think sucking thumbs makes children look ugly’ said one elderly woman.’ My Spanish for ‘well desiccated prune face, no one asked you’ deserted me.  The play equipment is in the Plaza Pilarin Artigas.  Honestly I’ve looked and was giving u...
