It is furious in its avenues

We have a day without streetview.  Over the hills and far away before sinking into the Serpis Valley.

As rivers go it does its best.  It is 74.5km long, although the start of it is drier than a Victorian Methodist Meeting, except in the rainy season.  Our favourite book, the 1845 Geographical-Statistical-Historical Dictionary’ does mention wetter times.

it crosses the orchard of Gandía, and goes to lose itself in the sea. It is furious in its avenues; the one that occurred on October 4, 1779, was so great that there were at least 6 palms of water above the parapet of the Gandía bridge; In these cases it causes major damage to the land and its shifting of its channel.’

Looking into the river we may observe rainbow trout, sun perch and samarugo - a fish that is keen on these streams heading of into the Med.

There are four noted landmarks, although noted is a bit much.  The Pont del Runar has no reviews.  The Antiguo tunel del rio Serpis has two. Alvaro gave 5 stars. ‘I loved it, it preserves all the magic of the old train route. A tunnel dug into the rock and without artificial lighting. Flanked by the river and the mountains. An overdose of nature within the reach of very few routes of this nature. I recommend visiting it, by bike or on foot.’

Lu umna was a bit two starry ‘I never got to see the river or waterfall up close. The trail could have been better marked with distances and directions. I turned around because I wasn't sure, and there weren't any people there. I'll try again with someone familiar with the area.’

The ruined bridged Pont penchant de le Passeres Grans has a bog devoted to it  https://eresdelorchasi.blogspot.com/search/label/Pont%20penjant%20de%20les%20passeres%20grans  The moli d’ en Mig is likewise covered https://eresdelorchasi.blogspot.com/search/label/Mol%C3%AD%20d%C2%B4en%20Mig%20l%C2%B4Orxa by those keen on ruined stones.
