We are waiting for you with open arms and tortillas - but not here,

 There was an Englishman, a Welshman and a Spaniard in a Turkish Restaurant - in East London.  Thus I met my father in law for the first time.  In this meeting we established I was the only Englishman who had never been to Spain.  By Spain, in the eyes of most, that meant the Costas.  It took me a dozen years to head south of Madrid and make it as far as Malaga.  We are on the road to Benidorm - which seems a good place to begin.


First off we are heading down one of those usually straight roads which are bordered by farmland, and eventually industry.  First we will pass a map marked ‘Historic Landmark’.  Nope, no idea what or where,  We can but rely on the only review, a 7 year old four star one by Gauden Fernández Vanaclocha

I'm sorry to say that it is no longer what it was... the quality of the hamburger is terrible, only surpassed by McDonald's pressed cardboard... it's not even worth half of what it costs... and I was a fan of this franchise... what a shame!! I would only go for the rack type potatoes which now have a €1 supplement... unfortunate



Two months  ago he went to La Tia Juana and was happy. ‘Very good experience in Mexican food. Decoration of 10, very good food and the attention of the waitresses, Alba and Lucía, outstanding... we will return!!

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park.
