Dedicated to prowling
As we start the day in the Jardi del Turia let's go all Tripadvisor on it and look at its 6721 reviews. Daniel waxes lyrical ‘I walk practically every day in this garden because with Valencia Fun Tours we offer electric scooter and bicycle tours and this is the place that travelers enjoy the most.’ Flore is more descriptive ‘the Turia Gardens is a generic name for an entire area, completely changed after the diversion of the Turia River that flooded Valencia in the past. Although I stayed in Valencia for 5 days, I was not able to walk through all these gardens because you always saw something interesting to admire - either a bridge, a tower, a historical building, or a modern building and so I kept getting off the trail. I was happy to see hundreds of people doing sports in this area, I saw many children with their parents or friends, hospitable and friendly people, eager to help you if you ask them for help.’
We are actually near the Turia underground station The Metro opened in 1988; has 1617.km of track and is a combination of underground and tramway. The station itself gets 3.6 stars on Google. Adrian was not impressed. ,On the site of the part of Gran Vía there is a town of Moroccans who are dedicated to prowling the area and stealing.. Marion was more pleased ,one more station but it is the closest to my house, therefore the one I use the most, it also has the peculiarity of accessing the shopping center and all its shops and restaurants, thereby saving the river and the rolling traffic and the tedious traffic lights.
Moving up of the riverbed we turn into the town and pass Turangalilia, https://www.turangalila.es/ I was expecting a restaurant . The menu link to facebook doesn’t work but Stage Production, Supper and Recreation come up as googles top three words. At 2am today Mari posted ,It was my first time and I loved it. I'll definitely be back.nThe atmosphere was great, the service was fantastic, and they were all amazing artists! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 🥰. At 1am Cla said ,Wonderful experience, they set up a perfect bachelorette party! We will be back. A week ago Mariajp announced ,I had my wedding reception there and had a blast laughing! Liz is an incredible master of ceremonies. My friends were thrilled, all positive. And the food was 10/10 ❤️. They were also very attentive to food intolerances. I love you, babes!,
We are walking out past the Bioparc Valencia- because Zoos are just so last century. https://bioparcvalencia.es/en/ That may be harsh. The old city zoo closed and the animals were moved to the 10 hectares of bioparc in 2008. It is owned by the city council but managed by a private company, Rainforest. I quote wiki ‘The concept of the zoo, called Zooimersion in Spanish, consists of immersing visitors into the animals' habitat and not vice versa. This is achieved by not using the traditional railings and cages that are common in many zoos, using instead rivers, ponds, streams and rocks to separate visitors from the animals. Also, great care has been taken in reproducing the eco-systems, including an important collection of African flora’
53630 people give it 4.6 stars. Nine hours ago Viktor reckoned ‘The experience was magical! Love how there were different themes like Mediterranean, Tropical, Madagascar, etc. Definitely recommend it to people of all ages! But the best part was definitely the chimpanzees!’ LDG, a name we have met before, said ‘It's absurd, I've never seen such beautiful animals so close... the park is beautiful and really well kept’ Frank did not like the catering ‘Nice zoo, beautifully laid out. Animals fantastically visible. Not so big, so you can get through it in half a day. Entrance fee is quite high and the bag check at the entrance (you are not allowed to bring food or drinks) is a shame. Especially because the catering is nothing special.’
So we trudge out a little further.
