To be honest I am very tired and the road is not crammed with houses of fame and bridges of concrete that have left reviews.  Enjoy it.  The path follows the sort of places that remain when people need to get to fields which have been sliced up by thrusting motorways.



King Phil, or Felipe Juan Pablo Alfonso de Todos los Santos de Borbón y Grecia - he sixth, was born in 1968. I thought he was younger.  He is the son of Juan Carlos the not king any more and Sophia of Greece and Denmark.  



Felipe attended school at Santa María de los Rosales, which his daughters both attended. Felipe attended high school at Lakefield College School in Ontario, and studied at the Autonomous University of Madrid, where he graduated with a degree in law; he also completed several courses in economics  He completed his academic studies by obtaining a Master of Science in Foreign Service degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.  He was made a made a soldier in the 1st King’s Inmemorial Infantry in 1977 and has done all sorts of military training.




The most notable thing King Phillip did was marry an Ortiz. Apparently one of his previous girlfriend’s mum was a cocaine addict and another was a Norwegian underwear model.  Letizia had been married before - for 11 years and was born in Oviedo.  



Felipe became king on 2nd June 2014. The couple have two daughters, Leonor and Sofia.

We cross the Rio Porma and into Villarente and Puente Villarente. Mini Pieces of Supposed tuna

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park. One thing we noticed, especially with a small boy in tow, was the number of parks with interesting play equipment.  This is because, in Spain, people seem to like children.  This does make them a semi-public property and people feel free to indulge them with sweetmeats and pass comments. ‘I think sucking thumbs makes children look ugly’ said one elderly woman.’ My Spanish for ‘well desiccated prune face, no one asked you’ deserted me.  The play equipment is in the Plaza Pilarin Artigas.  Honestly I’ve looked and was giving u...
