We are more than satisfied with the type of grass

We are going from Castellon to Villarrael.  There is a bit of a gap between them but not much these days. It was founded by James I in 1274 and it has been moving along at a gentle pace till the twentieth century.  The population curve is a slight slope from 1842 [8200] to 1950 [21,000] then it goes on a steeper ascent to 51,000 today.

The real driver behind this was the development of post war industry.  The region does have 3500 hectares of farmland but this was superseded by the tile industry.  


We are heading down the N-340a. It is one of those roads which has attracted industry around it and, occasionally, we get some remnant of an older time. One drawback is that it annoys me when you go to the area where there are sales on other types of products, clothing, or other items, and everything is always in disarray. People have very little awareness and don't know how to leave things where they find them. Otherwise, it's great!’

We will end by a rather splendid looking oliver tree and the Restaurante Defeli,  It is LGBTQ+ friendly and Maria liked it.  ‘We were looking for homemade food and we couldn't get it right. Everything was delicious, we loved it. The treatment was unbeatable. We went with a little one and they took him into account at all times. Highly highly recommended, we will repeat for sure ☺️’  She recommended ‘Tarta de Chocolate Sin, Arròs Al Forn’

Mini Pieces of Supposed tuna

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park.
