The most up-to-date sticker background

I said today would be a day of trees and I am a creature of habit and many words, some of which are spelt correctly. Here are some of the famous trees of Castellon

Of all the trees that grace  the municipality of Castellón, the most celebrated is the ficus located in the Plaza María Agustina . It was planted about 1913. In 1952 the stand around it was decorated with tiles representing the coats of arms of the heads of the 8 judicial districts into which the province was then divided Its health has suffered at various times due to the excessive weight of its branches and the  occupation by birds that live in it,. It is 18m high with a crown of 25m.

There are three listed olive trees : one located on private property in the Bovalar district; another located in the gardens of the Chencho sports facilities which is 7 m tall and with a crown diameter of 18 m/  The third is, located on Avenida del Rey Don Jaime, measures 11 m tall and 8 m in diameter.

Numerous Washingtonia robusta palm trees are protected throughout the area, most of them on private property, but the three specimens located in planters in the Plaza de la Paz and, to quote wiki ;are particularly noteworthy . One of them reaches a height of 20 m and displays a good profusion of palms with a good size and wingspan.’

While we are on local agri-business lets talk hemp.  Castellón's  hemp-based textile production, of which it held a monopoly in the production of ropes for the Spanish Navy , and tile manufacturing, which took shape in the first modern factory in 1820. In the first half of the 20th century,  this industry became established and stood out, with companies such as Diago - which closed in 2010 - and Tau, which remains the company with the most employees and the highest turnover.

We will cut across the Parc Ribalta. Trip advisor has some nice pictures but some reviewers think they are over doing it a bit.  https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g187522-d8072901-Reviews-Ribalta_Park-Castellon_de_la_Plana_Province_of_Castellon_Valencian_Community.html   It has a pool of which Jorge said ‘A beautiful pond, full of colorful fish and various types of ducks such as ducks, geese, etc. It's a shame that the water is not renewed and cleaned more regularly for the fish and so that they can be appreciated. Near the pond there is a well that supplies water to it as well as to the surroundings of the entire park. The pond itself is very well maintained in general.’

Just off our way is Fantasy Globo.  https://www.fantasyglobo.com/  It will sell you stuff for parties, communions and weddings etc..  People seem to rate it highly.    Daniel wrote a week ago ‘Everything was perfect. They contacted me super quickly and sent me the design the same day, including the most up-to-date sticker background. Highly recommended!’

Now, we could go to Popeyes Famous Louisiana Chicken but the Sopa de Lletres.  It has a nice website.  https://sdll.es/   Yesterday Carlos said ‘We ordered the Celebration menu, and everything was delicious. The service was perfect’   Diego added ;This is my third time here, and each time I'm more impressed. I wish I were in Valencia...we'd enjoy it more. We'll definitely be back.

And so will we, tomorrow.
