Super Careful Packaging


 I like to keep this real and occasionally take a wrong turn - honest. Anyway, back we go to the TE-612 and down it and then across a wild trackway, across the Barranco de Verruga.




It is a quiet day and we are heading towards Albentosa. It is a settlement, like so many others, which bumbled along at 1100ish people till about 1950 then plunged down to 250 in 2000 and now is almost 300.  It is a PSOE Stronghold, 5 councillors to 2 from the PP.  The current mayor is Ms Yolanda Salvador Corella - who has been in that post since 2015.  We can find her on Youtbe from four years ago - in the midst of Covid.   Be the 178th person to watch it.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDL29G3n_x8 






The town has a rather nice website https://www.albentosa.es/ It mentions the fact a church was built here and it appears the Templars ran the place. The old church was replaced in 1721. The news section is not well maintained. The last entry being an International Art Competition dated 18th June 2021.



We are quiet near the Truffal Shop https://truffalshop.com/home It gets 5 stars and 46 reviews.  Three months ago Eneha said ‘Very tasty and fresh truffles. And the artichoke pate is simply incomparable! Incredibly tasty and aromatic oil. I recommend this store to everyone.   Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park. One thing we noticed, especially with a small boy in tow, was the number of parks with interesting play equipment.  This is because, in Spain, people seem to like children.  This does make them a semi-public property and people feel free to indulge them with sweetmeats and pass comments. ‘I think sucking thumbs makes children look ugly’ said one elderly woman.’ My Spanish for ‘well desiccated prune face, no one asked you’ deserted me.  The play equipment is in the Plaza Pilarin Artigas.  Honestly I’ve looked and was giving u...
