Politically the place seems to have been a PSOE strong old till 2007.  Dr. Luis Fernando Marin Herrero was the Socilaist Mayor from 1987 to 2007.  In 2003 the council was split between the PSOE [5] and CHA [4]/  Since then the CHA have remained but the PSOE have vanished, replaced by the Cs - wh  https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ciudadanos_(Espa%C3%B1a) ich wiki says is a centrist party.  Luis Fernando seems to have jumped ship for them in 2019, when he was mayor under their banner for two years.  




At this point dear reader I am off down the rabbit hole of news.  According to Heraldo, in 2019, https://www.heraldo.es/noticias/aragon/2019/11/14/denuncia-delito-abuso-sexual-alcalde-escucha-teruel-1343935.html Luis Fernando was removed from the PSOE and sentenced to two years for revealing the medical secrets of a CHA councilor. In 2019 he was under investigation.  Previously he was fined for non-payment of monies connected to an apartment in Zaragoza.

Back to the orad.  We enter along one of those spick and span type of roads with neat trees and a modern look.  We will pass near the Pub Lennon.  It gets 4.6 stars from 54 reviews.   Antonio reckoned it is a ‘Village bar, with everything that entails, is very good and they serve you in a very friendly way’    David added ‘We have gone twice to have a beer and some ice cream. The place is very original (especially because of the car embedded in the wall) The music is good. It has a good terrace and a very nice corner that overlooks the square. The service is not the friendliest one can find.’

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park. One thing we noticed, especially with a small boy in tow, was the number of parks with interesting play equipment.  This is because, in Spain, people seem to like children.  This does make them a semi-public property and people feel free to indulge them with sweetmeats and pass comments. ‘I think sucking thumbs makes children look ugly’ said one elderly woman.’ My Spanish for ‘well desiccated prune face, no one asked you’ deserted me.  The play equipment is in the Plaza Pilarin Artigas.  Honestly I’ve looked and was giving u...
