Scary and Child Freindly

The original plan was to go to Calaceite, across the beaten tracks where even Streetview dares to tread.  Then it was suggested to me that arriving in Holy Week would be a good plan and so tomorrow I need to do some thinking about where we will spend the next few weeks and maybe the amount of travel each day.  Meanwhile.  Here and now.

We do pass a thing today.  It is the Casa Gerona. It is a big square building. It is for sale. It has four reviews.  It is not occupied.  Two years ago Rafa said ‘There are still old things inside the house. I would like to know more about the history of this house.’   Four months ago Mohammed said ‘I have been inside, it is very big and it is scary to be alone’  It reviews as 4.6 stars and apparently is ‘good for kids.’

There is film of the place. ‘https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L_BPor2bftk’

That’s it.

Better do some filling in.

Aragon had only ever two Queens, the last, monarch was Joan the Mad.  It had two Ferdinands, five Alfonsos, two Johns, two Jameses, four Peters, two Ramiros, a Sancho and a Martin.  Petronella was the other Queen.

Petronila  was Queen of Aragon (1137–1164 from the abdication of her father, Ramiro II, in 1137 until her own abdication in 1164. After her abdication she acted as regent during the minority of her son Alfonso II of Aragon (1164–1173). She was the last ruling member of the Jiménez dynasty in the Kingdom of Aragon, and by marriage to Ramon Berenguer IV, Count of Barcelona brought the House of Barcelona to the throne of Aragon, uniting the Kingdom of Aragon with the County of Barcelona to create the Crown of Aragon.
