Reform the burladeros!

Let us to the Bar Restaurante Maite, which will be open from 7.30 to 2.30 today.  Two months ago Humberton wrote ‘Village tavern The owners VERY VERY nice’  Earlier in the year Elena concluded ‘It is eaten veryyyyyy well. The vegetable is seasonal without a doubt, the flavor and color are very noticeable, it is appreciated that it is like that. Very good amount of food, the waitresses very attentive and friendly at all times. If I can I will return without hesitation.’





It has a bull ring.  Sword of Crom - a name that sounds like a 70s D&D genre novel, reported  ‘Very similar to Fitero, with the same old square flavor. As a bullfighting professional I must say that it would be advisable to reform the burladeros, as they are too weak and narrow which is counterproductive for their function.’




This sporting life in added to by a football pitch on the way out of town.  The Escuela de Futbol Victor Morales seems to be either loved or loathed.  Javier claimed, six months ago, ‘The Aldeanueva de Ebro facilities are perfect.  Iban considered ‘The pool is very good but the bar leaves a lot to be desired in terms of service.’

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park. One thing we noticed, especially with a small boy in tow, was the number of parks with interesting play equipment.  This is because, in Spain, people seem to like children.  This does make them a semi-public property and people feel free to indulge them with sweetmeats and pass comments. ‘I think sucking thumbs makes children look ugly’ said one elderly woman.’ My Spanish for ‘well desiccated prune face, no one asked you’ deserted me.  The play equipment is in the Plaza Pilarin Artigas.  Honestly I’ve looked and was giving u...
