There is not even a tree to provide shade



We are on the road to Logrono.  Greater Logrono has about 200,000 people living in it.  Juan II of Castille said it could be a city in 1431. If that wasn’t enough On 5th July 1523, the king Francis I granted it the three fleurs-de-lis for the shield of the city for its resistance during the French siege in 1521.  To top it all It also received by Royal Decree the title of "Excellence" 6 December 1854 from Isabella II, as a reward for its behavior during the cholera epidemic which devastated the city.





We are coming in a gentle back road and will potter in by UD Logrones.  https://udlogrones.com/   A season ticket will set you back 140 euros, although babies get one for 10.  The team was founded in 2009 and plays in the Segunda Federacion Group 2.  The club replaced the old, CD Logrones, which went the way of several clubs who overstretched themselves and collapsed.  Real Oviedo fell and rose again.  CD Logrones did not. Jhonathan was generally impressed ‘Good place to park, the bar is very good, the only bad thing in summer is there is not even a tree to provide shade.’





A cafe has, at last, come into view.  Cafe Siddhartha.  It opens from 7 am till 11.30pm, 2am on Friday and Saturday.  Itxaso was impressed.  ‘Exquisite cuisine and impeccable service. Very attentive staff. Out of ten!’  Adrian agreed ‘A very pleasant service, we have received very close treatment, something that is appreciated when going to the bar. The skewers are very good, especially the sandwiches and the tortilla. We will return🤘

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park.
