The land of the very pleasant and friendly forklift driver.’
As days go this is a straight one. We are going down one slope, passing some agricultural concerns and going up the other side. We will pass some solar panels, so lets get sunny.
You would think Spain would be ideal for solar power, and you would be right. As Wiki helpfully points out ‘Spain is one of the European countries with the most hours of sunshine.’ It also has a lot of land which can not be described as ‘prime agricultural’ and an attitude to land use which means resistance to solar plants is less focused than in Blighty. The growth is impressive. In 2000 about 0.1% of all power was solar. By 2011 it was up to 2.4% and in 2022 it amounted to 11,5%. In that year the installed Solar PV was 18,164 megawatts. Extermadura produces the greatest amount of wattage a year - I suppose a combination of sunshine and poorer farm land. Castille-La Mancha is second and Aragon third. La Rioja produces 313 megawatts, putting it 7th, not too far behind Andalusia.
Back to the road. We will pass the unreviewed Fabrica de Electrodomesticos. Then the Bodegas Lan https://bodegaslan.com/ - B Moon was impressed ‘Fantastic memory in honeymoon. The tour guide was very passionate about his job and winery. The tour is so detail and professional. The interior of wine tasting room was so modern. It was so good time for us. Mucho Gracias Alejandro.’ Moving up the slope we pass the Bodega Pagos del Rey La Rioja https://www.pagosdelrey.com/ Juan was happy and he was a foreigner. ‘I'm from Argentina, the 2022 tempranillo is excellent!!’
Are you getting tired of all this wine? Alright, We’ll pop in to Kingspan - an insulation contractor. https://invespanel.com/ They make Sandwich panels for the industrial sector. Herraiz gives a decent account of things. ‘It is the first time I have gone to load and they have treated me well, especially the very pleasant and friendly forklift driver.’
Tomorrow - more wine and a whiff of Justice.
