Necessary for our river!

We are a bit early.  In the first week of January sees the ACTUAL arts festival https://actualfestival.com/programacion/  Knowing the audience for this, however, I suspect the San Bernabe do on 11th June would also hit the sweet spot.   It commemorates the victory and resistance of Logroño against wicked French invaders under Francis I, who  besieged the city in May and June 1521. During this celebration, fried trout is typically served by the Fish Brotherhood, along with bread and wine, allegedly the only foodstuffs available in Logroño during the siege.

We are going riverward and will edge along the Parque del Ebro.  People seem to like the place.  The stuttering JJJ AAA VVV said ‘Beautiful and very long, ideal for a quiet walk, going with children and enjoying nature and especially the views and sound of the Ebro’   Miguel’s mere 4 stars have a reason behind its less than perfected view ‘A perfect place to disconnect and be in contact with nature, although there is not a single public bathroom, they force you to pee in public…’

Moving pass the bridge across the river we get to the Mirador del Ebro.  Now, all things considered, it is a reasonable little place to look at the water.  Paulina was, I feel, a little harsh.  I’m not sure what they wanted but this place wasn’t it.  ‘I expected better very ugly I recommend skipping it’  Marina, on the other hand, was carried away.  ‘It is one of the most beautiful walks in Logroño and it is very good and beautiful’

We end the day by the Estacion Depuradora - a water treatment works,  It has two reviews.  I am not sure of the basis of the review.  Anyhow,, said ‘Necessary for our river!’ and I am sure we can agree.
