Abandonned

Sometimes you find somewhere and wonder why.  In the middle of nowhere we find a small collection of houses, recently built. It is to the north of the railway and the Monasterio de Santa María de Bugedo de Candepajares is to the south.  https://www.monestirs.cat/monst/annex/espa/calleo/burgos/cbugedo.htm   The monastery was founded by Doña Sancha Díaz de Frías in 1162 and was sponsored by King Alfonso VIII of Castile, the de las Navas , who granted it a lot of territory. It belonged to the abbey of San Cristóbal de Ibeas de Juarros , part of the Premonstratensian Order,

We will mostly by pass Bugedo.  About 200 people live here.  It has a 19th century telegraph tower and a 13th century church.  We will pause at the Estacion.   According to Pedro is that it has been abandoned.

That’s it for today.  Lets have a holiday,  It is a day off across Spain. It is the Dia de la Constitucion Espanola.
