YOU HAVE TO DO THE OPPOSITE

We are wandering up the Rio de Pamanes.   It is the sort of river you could choose to specialise in.  The Ebro - very long.  The Douro - nice wine but still a bit much.  The Pamanes is but 9.6km long.  It rises in the Sierra de Somo and jones the Miera in Solares.  In an 1845
description of the town of Anaz it gets a mention.

ANAZ: r. in the prov. of Santander, judicious part of Entrambasaguas. It rises 1/4 leg. from the l. of Pámanes; it continues its course in a N. direction, passing through said town, Anaz, Hermosa, and Ceceñas, where it joins the Miera r. next to Cavada: its course is 5/4 leg., during which some small springs meet it, although its water flow is so scarce that in the summer it is almost dry. It has 6 flour mills, 2 stone bridges with one eye, very old and poorly made; one in Pámanes and the other in Hermosa, and another one made of peonil wood in Anaz, since the one that was also made of stone in this town was destroyed by a flood in 1841.’

We will pass the Centro Concertado de Esenanaza Torreanaz.  https://www.hsmcj.org/torreanaz/  It gets 3.2 stars and it is all 5s or 1.  Two months ago Jorma wrote ‘But you have to see the "positive", if you enter this school, you open your eyes, and you realize the human evil and the falsehood of those who are put in charge, because it cannot be generalized, there are very good nuns... because for To see goodness you also have to know evil, and in this school you open your eyes because of the toxic environment in which the usual atmosphere moves (optimal for balls and people who give them money and property). With which you learn what corruption is, influence peddling in the first person, at the moment you become bitter, but it is a great life lesson, in which you learn in that school that if you want to be a good person

. Very good day to all.’

Thamara had the opposite view. ‘I had been at school for 7 years of my life, I entered as a punishment, being a very rebellious teenager, and I left being the complete opposite. The best center I have ever been in, they have educated me, they have trained me, they have taught me what faith is. The school is very well equipped, as are the classes. The teachers are passionate about what they do and have always been willing to help me at all times, and the same with the sisters, the sisters are there for you whenever you need it, it doesn't always have to be related to studies, they are always there . Despite the bad reviews that people give, first ask yourself what happened to them to make them think that way. They probably won't get their way and express it that way out of anger. Sincerely, I am grateful to the sisters and teachers for their treatment, for everything I have experienced, for what they have taught me, and for helping me train so that I can continue studying.’

We end the day entering Lierganes but that, more tomorrow.
