Good appearance on the outside, inside not

It does feel a bit like we are going from village to village which exist only as a handful of houses and a name plate.  In Revilla de Pienza we go near Saint Bartholomew’s church.  I thought it looked interesting from the outside.  Luis agreed ‘good appearance on the outside, inside not’  We will cross a five star reviewed bridge.  What more could we want?  A bit more I feel so here is some farming news.

In 2022 19483 hectares of Spain is forest area.  16,800 is cultivated, 11, 309 arable, 8,410 meadows and 5,375 ‘woody areas’  https://www.statista.com/statistics/1214260/agricultural-farmland-by-type-spain/  The Spanish agriculture income has fluctuated since 2015 . At that time  it was seen the lowest point with 22 billion euros and then, the agricultural income started to grow to reach its highest figure in 2018. However, in 2022, it fell to approximately 27 billion euros.  Apparently 242,700 hectares of the organic area across the country were given to cereal for grain production in 2022, behind olive groves who covered close to 262,400 hectares, and nuts with over 290,000 hectares.

Agriculture, husbandry, fishing and silviculture represented a 2.7% of the Spanish GDP in 2017, with an additional 2.5% represented by the agrofood industry
