An environment for rest and obviously for a walk

 

We are going past Moneo.  Passed is probably the best way to describe it   We will stick to the main road.  Even Streetview does not go too far within.





On the road is Bar Luchi. It averages 4.7 stars from 99 reviews.   Four weeks ago Alfonso said ‘Good atmosphere and family treatment!’  Pau was also impressed. ‘A good bar for friends and acquaintances. Good breakfast, good gildas on weekends. The best broth and coffee you can try.’


The bar opens at 10 everyday and closes at 10 - save Firdays and Saturdays when you can go on to 2am.



Within Moneo the places of interest are unreviewed for the most part.  The church seems grand and glittery inside.  The Hermitage of the Virgin of Cantarrans is by the former railway line and is reviewed thus.  ‘Hermitage that is next to the Via Verde, on the outskirts of Moneo.












It is in good condition, with along the pleasant path. It is surrounded by fields cultivated mainly with sunflowers.’




We end by not visiting the former Rail Station.  Enjoy!

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park. One thing we noticed, especially with a small boy in tow, was the number of parks with interesting play equipment.  This is because, in Spain, people seem to like children.  This does make them a semi-public property and people feel free to indulge them with sweetmeats and pass comments. ‘I think sucking thumbs makes children look ugly’ said one elderly woman.’ My Spanish for ‘well desiccated prune face, no one asked you’ deserted me.  The play equipment is in the Plaza Pilarin Artigas.  Honestly I’ve looked and was giving u...
