They are all perfect

A change in direction.  Well, I think we need some more caves.  Back lanes down to the CA-131. It is a road of scattered villas, rarer former farm houses and places to eat and sleep.  Restaurante Mi Carmelita is one such.   Apparently it is LGBTQ+ friendly. It will be open from 11a, to 5.30pm.   A week ago Alberto said ‘Everything delicious. Squid with onions are spectacular. The exquisite treatment. We allowed ourselves to be recommended and it was a success.’

A month ago Antonella was less happy.  ‘The fried calamari was full of oil, the cheese plate was nothing special, with rancid hazelnuts. The zamburinas were good. The cost is excessive compared to the quality of the dishes. Not recommended.’   The owner responded ‘Hello Antonella, I will keep an eye on the chips, maybe they didn't put soaking paper. But thanks for the contribution, I'll keep an eye on it.

The cheese board (€13.50) has 4 different types of Cantabrian cheeses from the Cudaña cheese factory, made in Labarces, goat, cow and sheep, blue and supra cow, about 240 g of cheese and accompanied by sweet apple, artisanal peaks and hazelnuts (I just ate about 5 to see if there were any “rancid” ones and they are all perfect) I really like the zamburiñas, thank you. All the best’

Near the end of the day’s walk is Posada Las Ijanas.    https://www.turismoencantabria.com/alojamiento/posada-las-ijanas  We are currently in low season and so B&B will cost 45 euros.   Feli was happy a month ago.  ‘We have spent six nights at the Posada de las Ijanas and we have felt at home. I loved the room and the breakfast in the garden. The treatment from Ana, the owner, has been great. And the perfect location to get you anywhere.’

I think we will leave it there.
