Saturday will be dedicated to "Fifi, the hairdresser"

We are pottering along the byways of Eastern Asturias.  I have gone to La Nueva Espana website.  I am writing this on the 6th and the chief stories from this region are:

We are not really going near anything which exists on Google. When we turn into the AS-379 we go by Hotel Camangu. It gets a 4.6 review average and is 2 stars itself.  Two weeks ago Nathalie wrote ‘We stayed 8 nights and we had a great stay, we felt at home..they are an adorable couple with good advice on walks, restaurants etc…’

Two months ago Tomas reckoned ‘Clean room and bathroom, good breakfast. Parking for big buses nearby (150m). The hotel is run by a couple, who are very nice. In gerenal, I recommend strongly to stay at this hotel if on vacation or, specially, if you're doing the camino del nuerte.’

I was intrigued by the Camino del Nuetre but it appears it is the Camino del Norte.  This is the northern way to Santiargo.  It probably has less stretches of flat than the route we took.  . It is an 817 kilometres route from Irún near the border with France, following the northern coastline of Spain into Galicia where it heads inland towards Compostela joining the French Way at Arzúa (A Coruña). This route follows the old Roman road, the Via Agrippa.

That’s it for today.
