Rude, hilarious and unpleasant
We are walking, if not on sunshine, this is Asturias after all, then at least through pleasant flattish green bits, sometimes lanes, sometimes longer valley roads, well colonised by houses. We start by passing the Cementerio de Bricia. It has two, five star reviews. Felisa wrote ‘A grove at the entrance and a well-kept cemetery’
Under the A8 we go, to more greenry, We are going to the small village of Niembru. Like so many places it has an autogenerated presence on TripHobo. This is what they say when no one has not a lot to say.
‘Have you ever visited a new place and felt ‘wow’ about it? For many visitors, it happens at Niembru.
Niembru may not be as popular as other cities in Spain, but don’t let that fool you. Niembru is a smaller but beautiful upcoming tourist destination that is worth a visit. You will be surprised by some of the unique things to do and places you can explore at this hidden destination.
You might wish to revisit it someday again, to take a break and relax at Niembru.
If you have plans to visit Spain and are not sure if Niembru should be included in your itinerary, keep reading. In this list, we have put together some of the things to do in Niembru and around. We have a hunch that if you include this city in your travel plans, you will be thrilled you did so.’
Niembui has a restaurant. La Parrilla del Cuera. It gets 4.5 stars from almost 400 reviews. The website isn’t available. A little before midnight last night Xavier wrote ‘I went today 09/11/24 to eat and it did not disappoint. Everything great. Very good service and good dishes. Quality meat made with precision on the grill. Fantastic. Highly recommended. Nice place inside.’
Two months ago Eneida wrote ‘The food is good but perhaps a little high in price, the rabas were very expensive for the quantity (yes they were delicious) the croquettes and the salad well…. And the cachopo was good but maybe a little bit of chicha inside and salt. Generally good but there is always room for improvement’
Maybe a bar and a 2.9 star bar at that. Bar Tlacala Two days ago David said ‘Terrace in the sun to have a coffee and little else. Quite indifferent treatment from the waitress.’ Six days ago Keith reckoned ‘Quaint off the beaten track, good service great tea and coffee’ Mostly it seems a very binary place- love it or loath it. Ana said three weeks ago ‘More unpleasant people cannot exist. The old lady is rude, hilarious and unpleasant in every way a human being can be. Avoid this “bar” please’ I must admit I am intrigued.
We end the day by a tidal lake and thoughts of tomorrow.
