 We are pottering east, out of Asturias, but first we need to get under the Autovia del Cantabrico. 






Crossing to the N-634 were dip into the valley and come to the Camping site Rio Puron.  It looks like it must be a jolly but we will never know ourselves - it is closed till April..  https://www.riopuron.com/en/  It identifies as women-owned.  A week ago Maialen said ‘A very good experience, the workers were very nice and a very quiet place. We will repeat without any doubt! :-)’  Ibon liked it.  ‘Recommended camping. The atmosphere is calm. The camping pitches have a lot of shade. The toilets and showers are always impeccable. In the restaurant they serve quickly and the food is delicious. I got a little more variety in the small supermarket and the pool is not too big. If I travel through the area again, I will repeat.’

Part of it is the Mavericks Surf Camp,  It is an LGBTQ+ friendly children's camp.  https://maverickssurfcamp.com/   Patricia liked it. ‘At this camp I tried surfing for the first time and from the beginning I was passionate about it. It was a week that stayed with me forever. Everything is awesome; the atmosphere, the place, the price, the beach, the food, and obviously the passion for surfing that the teachers and creators of the camp transmit. Next to this is a fish farm. We have never been to a fish farm before. https://www.bedonacuacultura.com/  The site claims ‘Paradise within paradise, completely natural spring trout.’  It has no reviews.







Lets get on.  Away with cafes!  We need not your visitors centres.  We need a car park.  Kati went to the Aparcamiento. She was blown away.  ‘It is very good to leave the car and take the route to the idol of Peña tu, it has enough squares and trees to leave the car in the shade, the road to the idol leaves a little further on to the right, there is a sign marking the way’







With that we will stride purposely onwards.

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park.
