The Free King Fusion

 Welcome to Siero.  Siero is the fourth most populous municipality in Asturias. Once it was rolling hills with farms. Then came coal mining.  Then went coal mining. Then came people who wanted to commute to the cities around here.  Currently 52000 people are scattered in the various parishes, some old, some new urbanisation and one, translates as Ringworm.



We start the day by a Burger King - let's pop in. We plunge off the road most travelled and feel we are in the land of cows and cottages when suddenly we come across the Urbanisation Soto de Llanera - one of these suburban settlements which seem to have just landed from space into the countryside.  It has a website.  http://www.urbanizacionsotodellanera.com/ From this we learn the community swimming pool will be open from noon to 8pm

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park.
