First we come to Lub-rite. No website and only two reviews of this ‘manufacturer’.  Inversiones Profesionales y Personales says ‘Well, I was able to see this factory, certainly a technological reference. Congratulations.’   I went looking for the,  Apparently they make machinery.  


There are a lot of industries to look at so I went for Abz Laser Works SL as it had laser in the title. 4.3 stars from 7 reviews. The newest review is two years ago. Tomasz said ‘Great atmosphere, great people, new professional machines, I recommend’






Rarely do 33 reviews average out as high as 4.9 so we have to nip down Calle Max Planck to Postres Delicatessen.   https://www.postresdelicatessen.com/  They were founded in 1998 and are very keen on innovative confections.  There Asturian cheesecake is ‘ very creamy and smooth in flavour, with pieces of blueberry. A perfect combination of the most emblematic cheeses of Asturias, Casín cheese, Afuega'l Pitu and Cabrales, all with DOP and IGP.’  A year ago Debora went shouty to declare ‘THE CAKES ARE SUPER GOOD, THEM MORE THAN THE NOUGAT AND THE SAN MARCOS, VERY DELICIOUS. VERY GOOD TREATMENT AND ATTENTION





 We need a rest. Near the end of the day we are near La Posada de Roces.  A 1 star gaff which will cost £44 a night.  It averages 4 stars in reviews   Lara left this three weeks ago.

We took this hotel to be able to move around Asturias and visit several surrounding towns. The room is not bad if what you want is to rest after a day outside, the place is quiet. Our negative review comes from the fact that the room service does not take any care, after being out all day we arrived at our room and found that the door was open. It may have been an oversight but as a hotel service I think it leaves a lot to be desired. First of all, you have to be careful how the room is left and, above all, make sure that the door is closed, I think it is the minimum. Luckily nothing of value has disappeared but, if you want to stay at this hotel, be very careful with what you leave in the room, given what has happened to us, you can arrive at any time and find the door open. In short, disastrous service, we will certainly not stay in this place again…

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park. One thing we noticed, especially with a small boy in tow, was the number of parks with interesting play equipment.  This is because, in Spain, people seem to like children.  This does make them a semi-public property and people feel free to indulge them with sweetmeats and pass comments. ‘I think sucking thumbs makes children look ugly’ said one elderly woman.’ My Spanish for ‘well desiccated prune face, no one asked you’ deserted me.  The play equipment is in the Plaza Pilarin Artigas.  Honestly I’ve looked and was giving u...
