Speechless in Asturias
Ok, so today is not the most challenging of days. Along a straight line. Up 8m down 15m. Better get on with it.
I;m pretty sure I’ve driven along this road. It is that standard edge of town strip of industry, with occasional cafes, then a bunch of flats and then some more industry. We have so many places to go to, why not a Porsche dealer. The Porsche Centre Asturias has a website which is not available.. The first review that comes up gives one star and mentions an aggressive manager [ 2 years a go]. The second, 5 stars, 10 months ago, reckons they couldn’t be more helpful. David Anderson, a year ago, gave 3 stars and said ‘Nice guys but not a good place to load no space and close to roundabout’ I wonder what he wanted to put in his Porsche.

There are so many places to stop at so I am going to do two more and then talk Asturian. The Alimentacion Oriental gets 4.7 stars from almost 400 reviews. They are on instagram https://www.instagram.com/alimentacion.oriental.lugones/?hl=es I looked for the one star review. 7 years ago Agustin was ‘speechless’. Six days ago Damiano said Proper and personal possibilities. The owner and staff are friendly. Asian products are abundant and affordable.
We will pass by a Lidl. It gets 4.2 stars. Parking seems to have been a major reason why people like it.
Asturias has a language. I mention this now as we are heading for Gijon, or Xixon as the sign also offers. Asturian is estimated to have 100,000 speakers and about 450,000 second language users. It evolved from Vulgar Lation [I presume by Vulgar they mean useful, otherwise, a bit judgy] with a bit of Germanic Visigoth and Iberian Celt thrown in. It is spoken on parts of northern Leon and has two major dialects - Eastern and Western.
Here is the Lord’s Prayer in Asturian
Pá nuesu que tas nel cielu, santificáu seya'l to nome.
You know, I have finally lost my innocence. I have written a review for the Sheringham Recycling Centre. I feel almost liberated. Tomorrow, more Spain.
