No one

Today is another day in which we will mainly be up on the moors.  Shall we wander in a Heathcliffe or Cathy type of a way.  Time for some moody brooding and just a little painful self reflection.  On the other hand, in the distance, is a valley full of mist.  Asturias does this very well and I am rather taken with this sort of a view.  No one from Google has been up here since October 2008.

It is a bit of a tough day. We are going up 231m and down 167m   We will be near the Pico Canto de las Caleyinas - which is open 24 hours a day Google tells me. It also says it is 577m above sea level   This geographical feature has two five stars reviews.

We will skirt along the edge of the village of Ules. It has a Centro Social. 23 people have given it 4.4 stars.  Two months ago Manuel said ‘A beautiful town surrounded by forests, it also has this brand new social center with several floors and a lot of visibility from inside to outside and from outside to inside.’   Jose was a bit cryptic with his 3 year old one star.  He says ‘No one’.  We are left to wonder the meaning of it.

Not much else to say today.  We are approaching Oviedo. Oviedo is the capital of Asturias but not its largest city.  205,000 people dwell in Oviedo, 297,000 in Gijon [about a quarter of the population of Asturias,] The provenance has two other cities over 50,000, three over 20,000 and 12 between 10-15,000. Grado is 20th with only 9568.

Tomorrow, churches.
