Central Lechera Asturiana is committed

Today is not a day for Google reviews.  Not a cafe, pet groomerie motorway bridge is available to be judged and found waiting.  Google came up here in October 2008.  They have not been back. Generally, I think they may have got it right. This is a walk for October.  Mists gently snuggling up to the meadows, cows doing whatever cows do when no one is watching, that sort of thing.

I suppose we better talk about something else.  Let's talk milk. Central Lechera Asturiana is the favourite brand of milk in 13 of 17 of Spain’s Communities- the Basques, Catalans and Andalucians standing aloof.    According to their own website ‘All Central Lechera Asturiana milk varieties are 100% natural and the label on each product clearly shows all the ingredients it contains. Central Lechera Asturiana is committed to using only natural ingredients, without adding any other artificial additive that may alter the quality and taste of Central Lechera Asturiana’s products, because all-natural tastes much better.’ https://www.centrallecheraasturiana.es/en/products/milk/  Should this be enough to entice you, the Your Spain shop will sell you a litre of milk for 2.48 euros.  https://www.yourspanishshop.es/en/buy-milk/buy-whole-milk-asturiana/p-1133

It appears not all is well in the land of milk. Asturian cows produced during 2022/2023 campaign, which began in April of last year and ended in March, 529,695 tons of milk adjusted for fat content, which represents a decrease of 5.8%. These deliveries represented the 7.26% of the national total, slightly below 7.51% last year, according to information from the Spanish Agrarian Guarantee Fund published this Monday by the Asturian Society for Economic and Industrial Studies (Sadei). In addition, the delivery of Organically produced milk fell by 19% in the year as a whole, up to 6,676 tons, with which the weight of the national total fell from 16.62 to 14.38%. This is the second consecutive year in which The delivery of milk by Asturian farmers decreases, after in the previous one (2021/2022) it fell by 0.9%.

There is a diary museum south of Oviedo.  We won’t be going.  https://en.asturias.com/dairy-museum/
