Remnants and Remembering

 We are heading along the N-634. In places it is zippy and new. In other parts it is clear you should take the hint and go over to the A-8, which is running parallel - more or less, given the nature of the terrain.



First thing we are passing is the Campo de Futbol ‘San Sebastián 2’.   The surface is artificial, the dimensions 92m x 58m.   Two years ago Santi said ‘The soccer field must be new, because the artificial grass is impeccable. The Cementerio Moro was constructed to house those Moroccans killed in helping the Fasc remove liberty from the Spanish people in the 1930s.  The place was built with the direction of Muslim alfaques.  The whole area covers 4500m3. It contains 400-500 burials.   Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park.
