Quality Menu del dia and breakfast fabada
I feel let down. We have an Amazon Locker ahead of us but it has no reviews. The petrol station does - 157 of them. It doesn’t open till 7 so we will have to let the reviewers speak for them. Two weeks ago Jordana wrote ‘It has a shower for 3 euros which is wonderful if you are a transporter or go in a van. The girl who helped us is wonderful. Next door they have a food truck if you want to eat at affordable prices.’ You have to go back four months to find a one star review. It appears that Saifuman doesn’t understand economics very well. ‘They sell a 2t tube of oil for 4 euros...when 10 tubes are worth 8 euros on Amazon...they try to earn 40 euros for something worth 8 euros.Scammers!!! You have no shame. Incredible’
In the nearby rest area is a food truck. A fartar Quintana gets 4.9 stars from 18 reviews. We can’t wait till midday to see how it goes. Ines said ‘We ate some delicious hamburgers, and they prepared them for us in no time. Very good attention. We will repeat.’ Christa added ‘Lots of food for very cheap prices.Very friendly people and beautiful views of the countryside and the sea. We will be back!’
Back on the road we are twisting and wandering about as the N-632 follows the contours. Cadaveu has a restaurant. The Cafe El Salon opens at 7.30am - we are going to need to hang about a bit. Google provides a list of top words used in reviews. El Salon scores Quality-14, Menu del dia - 13, breakfast -7, fabada asturiana-6, pilgrim-6, cachopo-6, rice pudding -6 and patas-5.
Cadaveu also has a splendid Casa de Indianos - of Juan G Avello. On Jose Luis has anything to say. He says ‘Beautiful Indian house’. See. None the wiser but much better informed.
We end by the bridge crossing the Arroyo Pendas o Frieras.
