 Today is a day for appreciating the change in Asturian life. Once this was a rolling bit of clifftop plateau, dotted with farm houses and small farms. Today, new houses are crowding around tiny lanes. We will pass the odd rural homestay - like the La casa de verano. Pottering on er get to the El pajar de ondina.  Sandra says ‘The house is great. She's a real cutie. Very well maintained, lots of kitchenware and great rooms. It has a very well-kept and surprisingly spacious garden. It has many fruit trees. The entrance to the house is beautiful and there is plenty of parking. The house is super well located and you have everything very close. We went with our dog and it was great. Next to it are two other very playful and friendly dogs. Even so, everything is fine and each dog is in its own area without problems. The owner is very nice and very friendly. We have been delighted. We will repeat for sure!!!!!








We end the day descending towards the Port of Cudillero. Before we do that we come to a viewing place - the Punto de Vista.  373 people have reviewed this small car park. It averages 4.7 stars.    With such a high rating I had to go look at the bad ones



Severino said six years ago ‘Dangerous exit, very short acceleration lane.  Advice... Do not accelerate to merge without making sure that there are no vehicles in the right lane (especially trucks)’  Mel complains that the thing on top of the cliffs is on top of the cliffs ‘Nice views. Bit of a tough climb on a laden tandem!’  David is forthright ‘A very nice place if it weren't for how slutty the people are who piss and shit everywhere.   Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park. One thing we noticed, especially with a small boy in tow, was the number of parks with interesting play equipment.  This is because, in Spain, people seem to like children.  This does make them a semi-public property and people feel free to indulge them with sweetmeats and pass comments. ‘I think sucking thumbs makes children look ugly’ said one elderly woman.’ My Spanish for ‘well desiccated prune face, no one asked you’ deserted me.  The play equipment is in the Plaza Pilarin Artigas.  Honestly I’ve looked and was giving u...
