Today is a public holiday in Madrid. It marks the brave and urgent need of the people in 1808 to appear in some of Goya's best known paintings - and kick Napoelon's lackeys cout of that fair city. Of course the Community of Madrid's flag will be flying.




We begin the day descending down a track, doing a quick right and left and we are into an industrial estate. Serfrimec is a boat maintenance. They open at 7am and, to be honest, I am confused by Vayatela’s one star review claiming ‘The cold pizzas arrive.’ I do wonder if it is a code word and the revolution begins tomorrow.



Soon we are on a main road and then we are off it and going among the back lanes of the semi-rural. We have been in Galicia for a bit so we might as well prepare ourselves for the experience.
