Nothing much to say but some nice places not to say it about

Look, there is a plan, we aren’t just wandering aimlessly with no point in goal. We are wandering aimlessly, but we have a goal. Today we are leaving the grand suburban villas and car show rooms built on cheap land and out to the older farm cottages. I must confess to being a little bit in love with the tiny balconies.





As promised, a car dealership. Autos Puentes-Bouza gets an average of 4.5. Joaquin said a month ago that they were worth 5 stars because ‘Careful attention. Kindness and very good treatment.I went for an emergency and the solution was immediate.’ Three months ago Alvaro was less impressed. ‘I've been calling for days to request a quote and appointment, but they don't pick up the phone. It feels like it should be closed’






The Capilla de San Carballo is a solid little chapel. Alas, I know nothing more about it and that’s it for today.

Mini Pieces of Supposed tuna

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park. One thing we noticed, especially with a small boy in tow, was the number of parks with interesting play equipment.  This is because, in Spain, people seem to like children.  This does make them a semi-public property and people feel free to indulge them with sweetmeats and pass comments. ‘I think sucking thumbs makes children look ugly’ said one elderly woman.’ My Spanish for ‘well desiccated prune face, no one asked you’ deserted me.  The play equipment is in the Plaza Pilarin Artigas.  Honestly I’ve looked and was giving u...
