A restaurant, some windows and a few trees

It is yet another walk in the woods and the pastures.  The houses are scattered and increasing numbers of semi-deserted places appear. The aluminium window frames are so evocative of my first time in Spain and the small differences which marked the difference between the two countries.

While looking to fill today I thought I would check how Deportivo de la Coruna were doing in their bid to return to the top two leagues.  I discovered there were 65 different languages that are represented by wiki pages, including Scots

With four games to go [as of 30th April, yes I stack these up in advance, its an over planning dyslexic thing] they are four points ahead of Barcelona II and 8 ahead of Gimnastic Tarragona  They have to play Barcelona II at home on the 12th,  .

Peñas are clubs, in this context, groups of supporters who gather, usually somewhere where both alcohol and TV football is available.  https://www.rcdeportivo.es/penyas  I am looking for ones in the UK but am yet to be lucky.

We do get to call in on one place today.  Bar Restaurante Ares  gets 4.6 stars.  Three days ago, Adrian was clearly impressed.  He said ‘Exceptional service, abundant, homemade and delicious food. Menu on Saturday 15 euros and we were not able to finish any dish!!!! Delicious tripe and perfectly cooked meat, even the bread is incredible. Highly recommended!!!!!!’  That may be good but Ivan gets to the core of ‘The best tripe I have ever had and what can I say about the roasted ribs, a delight. The place becomes too small for so many people and in the end the noise that is generated ends up bothering you, not being able to have a conversation without raising your voice.’

That’s it really.  Enjoy the trees.
