A Mist and mellow meandering

 It is a day to really enjoy damp, wood bound tiny lanes and the nature of occasional cottages. All in all we should do little more but complement the fauna and flora and then we find the church of San Andres and wonder what the heck happened.



There will be a picture.  Someone got creative. I can not find anything else about the place.  Ivan said ‘I saw it in passing...I have no idea what it will be like inside...but what you see on the outside is out of the ordinary and leaves no one indifferent. I liked.’  







I realise today is a bit brief so here are some Galacian facts.  Currently the Provincial Government is run by the Popular Party. In 2020 the PP got 48%, the Galacian Nationalists got 24% and the 18% for the PSOE Socialists. Life expectancy is 76.8 for men [slightly below Spain’s average] and 84 for women [slightly above the national average.]

Mini Pieces of Supposed tuna

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park. One thing we noticed, especially with a small boy in tow, was the number of parks with interesting play equipment.  This is because, in Spain, people seem to like children.  This does make them a semi-public property and people feel free to indulge them with sweetmeats and pass comments. ‘I think sucking thumbs makes children look ugly’ said one elderly woman.’ My Spanish for ‘well desiccated prune face, no one asked you’ deserted me.  The play equipment is in the Plaza Pilarin Artigas.  Honestly I’ve looked and was giving u...
