The English Road
On the Road again….. Road Ode
While the French Camino gets most attention there is an English Road. It does the required minimum for a salvation boosting pilgrimage but is a lot shorter. So, we are off to A Courna and then to Santander.
We are really spending today trying to get out of town and so will be on busy roads so let's just enjoy the narrow streets, once symbols of the backwardness of the city but now beloved cultural moments. Among these is to be found the Barberia Ultreia - a hairdresser open from 9.30 tomorrow. Nicolas said ‘I and a couple of friends have been going for more than 2 years, and we always leave delighted. Excellent and personalized treatment.’
We haven’t been a fast food outlet since our early days in France so let's have a McDonalds on the roundabout Praza de Espana. The day before this was written Casimiro gave a five star review and said ‘The tall boy is very polite.’ The Management replied ‘At McDonald's we greatly value your comment, it motivates us to continue working daily to offer the best of ourselves. Have a good day!’ Mind you, five days ago C Vila said ‘The bathrooms were disgusting. The burger very very dry, edges in general’. The management responded ‘Thank you very much for your opinion, C. Can you tell us more about what happened at atencionconsumidor@es.mcd.com?’
We are about to hit one of those long out of town roads with car dealerships and the like to guide us the way. La Voz de Galicia is here. https://www.lavozdegalicia.es/
Now we have something to read let us sit and enjoy.
