Ponferrada and beyond

We are heading out of town and we really are going through what illustrates how much Ponferrada has grown in the last few decades. Lets pause, first, for some food. The Kitchen Soul and Food has a facebook page. Of course I’ve liked it. The set menu is 22 euros. Four days ago Gi wrote ‘It eats wonderfully!!! There is nothing that is not delicious!!! We always love it!! Super nice and fast staff!!! Highly recommended! We will always return!’ Three days agoJose Luis Garcia saud ‘Small portions, an hour wait between each dish and excessive price. The menu with the 3 photos is €30.’ I suggest you go there and find out for yourself.

Next, the railway museum. It is open from 10 till 2 and the 4 till 6. The railway runs today. A line from Villablino to Ponferrada was opened in 1918 and ran till 1980 and was the last in Spain to use steam. https://www.ponferrada.org/turismo/es/museos/museo-ferrocarril Motorhom Quest sums it up well by saying ‘A relatively small railway museum but some interesting exhibits if you are into trains.

We get moving on towards the one of those broad avenues with shops and enterprises along the way. Lets end the day visiting Saltoki. We’ve not been to a plumbers merchant for a while. It averages 4.2 stars. https://www.saltoki.com/ Richi reckons ‘Warehouse to buy good quality materials at a good price.

Very good treatment. Variety of things and some weekly offers. If they don't have what you need, they try to ask you for it or look for it within their means. I've been going for a while with no problems. All perfect 100% recommended
