Life is Rose

Sometime you can feel the heat and sometimes you wonder why streetview went down these tracks and what made the choose to stop.

We do start the day near the Poligono Industrial de La Rozada Hector 46 is very impressed by it and said ‘A polygon located in a good place and in full swing, with a company powerful enough to provide work for many people in the Stac bierzo’

We are in the Bierzo wine growing region of Spain. Mencia grapes dominate the output and produce, apparently, a lively, fruity and often intense red wines. Garnacha (aka Alicante Bouschet) is another important red grape variety here and is primarily used in a supporting role in blends. White wines are also produced in Bierzo, predominantly from Dona Blanca, Godello (Verdelho) and Palomino grapes. Rosé wines may also be produced; a minimum of 50 percent Mencia is required. Bierzo was accorded DO status in 1989. https://www.thegoodwineshop.co.uk/blogs/blog/mencia-bierzo-spains-chicest-red-grape-and-most-trendy-region

Just across the road is a bodegas - shall we nop across for a look, why not. Arturo Garcia https://bodegasarturo.com/ has much to offer us on this Shrove Tuesday, You can pick up some glugging wine for 6 euros or splash out on the 200 euro sipping wine. The Boys and Girls of Google Reviews are very keen. The average 4.9 is from 13 reviews. 3 weeks ago Indina Perez gave 5 stars.

We must go back to our dusty trail along the A-6. Fans of the A-6 know it goes from Madrid to Coruna; it is 590km long and the bit we are on was the trickiest bit to construct.
