Today we will wander through Leon, get lost once or twice, and end up on the way out, having passed more interesting business opportunities than you can shake a pilgrim’s stick at. Lets start with the cathedral.




Leon Cathedral gets a wapping 4.7 stars, from over 30,000 reviews. The one stars are fun. Mostly about rude staff and odd opening hours which change at a moment’s notice. It would appear these people have not been to Spain before. Charging to get in was also a point of contention. Adria is very certain ‘You have to pay to enter and GOD does not want that’ . My memory of it was that it was the first cathedral I had gone in that had weak electric bulbs by various shrines that you could pay to light up, in the place of candles.

  Pina de Ebro has something for everyone who enjoys the architecture of Spanish pueblos.  It has the tiny lanes, on which houses have been rebuilt for generations without a care for the needs of the modern motorist.  We have the pathways which have been tiled over but once were dirt tracks.  We have the modern suburban developments of low rise houses and 80s hopefully aspiring shacks.  First all, however, we have a park.
