We are shuffling out of Marbella. We are going to walk along a lot of coast today. We are probably going to pop into a lot of shops.  I think we will all miss Marbella and we’ve not had enough of it. Facts.net have 35 fascinating facts about it.  Here are some of them.

2 - Moorish Influence: The Moors conquered Marbella in the 8th century, leaving behind a legacy of architecture and culture. The old town, or Casco Antiguo, still features narrow, winding streets and whitewashed buildings reminiscent of Moorish design.

6 Microclimate: Thanks to the shelter provided by the Sierra Blanca mountains, Marbella enjoys a unique microclimate with over 320 days of sunshine annually.

15 Chiringuitos: These beachfront eateries serve fresh seafood and traditional Spanish fare. Popular dishes include paella, grilled sardines, and gazpacho.

19 Golf Courses: With over 15 golf courses, Marbella is a golfer's paradise. Courses like Aloha Golf Club and Marbella Golf & Country Club are among the best.

32 Yoga Retreats: Marbella is home to several yoga retreats and wellness centers, offering classes and workshops in beautiful settings.

I feel they were not stretching themselves, unlike the Yoga people.  Did this feel like a clip show.  Well, onwards.

Fancy a nibble? Rachel’s Eco Love El Rastro  https://www.rachelsecolove.com/  The website proclaims Good Vibes, Brunch Spot and Juice Bar.  A mere 20 hours ago Sofia claimed it was a ‘Wonderful place with a wonderful atmosphere and a charming guy, I will definitely return, it's a shame the weather was bad and I couldn't enjoy the garden.’  A month ago Carmelaruz felt ‘I loved the experience of having breakfast in the sun on the terrace and savoring the matcha with eggs and asparagus. Everything was delicious! I'll definitely be back…’

I feel we need to consider some brand loyalty here and pop into the Porsche dealer. https://dealer.porsche.com/es/marbella/es-ES?utm_source=google&utm_medium=maps&utm_campaign=GMB&utm_content=Sitio-web  Apparently they are LGBTQ+ friendly, which is nice.  Usually I tend to go for the more positive reviews because the world is full of disaster viewing and who am I to damage the reputation of a place I probably haven’t been. I do feel, generally, my 77 loyal Facebookers and smattering of Blogistas will not be put off a Porsche by what is put here so let us plunge to the bottom.

Nine months ago andrei wrote ‘Terrible services. The car stayed 2 months and 1 week at Porsche garage without any repair as the garage had “discussions” with the insurance company which visited the garage 3 months ago.Today the garage  called me that my car is finally repaired. So, today (09.05.25) after 2 months and 1 week I collected the car and found out that the A/C does not work from the damaged side and there is some problem with the starter. The repair must be completed after more then 2 months staying in the garage. This is just terrible’

Two months ago Tommy wrote ‘I've been driving Porsches for 40 years and this dealership is terrible. I'll never go back. It's a shame that they're the only ones in Marbella because everyone is fed up with their disastrous and poor service.’

Oh, alright then.  Three months ago Serge was happy.  ‘I would share my personal highest opinion and respect to the mr. Jesus Navarro being a leading sales manager of Porsche Marbella dealership, I have a long way history of collaboration with Porsche and I indeed impressed and always nicely treated by this gentleman and professional Porsche advisor!!! I always respect his highest attention and efficienct follow up whatever my needs are - workshop, accessories and cars configuration, as well my cars preparations and release!!! I give 6 stars out of 5!!!!! Serge Amelin’

While we are on brand, let us go to My Brand clothing shop - 13 reviews, 3.4 stars.  Ivan gave four stars and said ‘I've been shopping at that store for years. They're always changing staff, but they're very good people, and the quality of the clothes has been around for a year, and it's not very good…’

One of the many beaches we will pass is the Playa de Cortijo Blanco.  Key words are stone, chiringuito, river mouth, levee and algae.  Let’s go for….

Stone -   Ady ‘The beach is full of stones, the promenade is beautiful. The waves are rough and choppy in windy weather.’

River mouth - Adolfo ‘Cortijo Blanco Beach, with its grey sand, is 400 meters long and approximately 25 meters wide. It's also characterized by its pebble beach (pebbles) along the shore, which makes it even more special. A popular spot for surfing when the easterly swell is strong, it's located east of the San Pedro Alcántara promenade, near the mouth of the Guadaiza River. There are several restaurants nearby, such as Largos Bar, Bel Mare, El Garfio, Kala Kalua, Nuevo Reino, and El Alabardero, all great places for lunch or enjoying a few beers in the sun by the beach.’

Well, in land we go and into the green.
