The environment is respectful

We are still in the land of villas.  We will dive off the N-332 and down the lanes and little hills and a bit of sea.  Let us to the Spanish wiki page on the Costa Blanca.  Ok, I missed typed the name, got Costa Brava and can now tell you the name ‘Costa Brava’ dates from 1908.

To quote the page ‘The Costa Blanca is one of the most visited by people from outside Spain. The states of origin are: United Kingdom (4,500,000), Germany (700,000), Netherlands (370,000), and Norway (270,000). [ 1 ] A large number of French people also spend their summers there . Every year, Alicante Airport handles around 9 million arrivals (9,106,445 in 2007). [ 1 ]’

One may also add ‘The British population is the largest foreign colony on the Costa Blanca. They are known as ex-pats (or ex-patriates ), meaning outside the country , and have established a network of their own cultural resources, including radio stations, [ 4 ] newspapers, and their own associations ( full list ). There are even foreign elected officials in a few municipalities.’

First to the beach - Platja dels Carrabiners.  Six days ago Jose said ‘I loved the feeling of being in a well-kept, clean place, with a sea that felt like a natural pool. The sand is soft and pleasant to walk on. Even in the height of summer, you can find a quiet spot to enjoy without noise, just with the sound of the waves and the sea breeze.’  Juan added ‘Very quiet cove, with crystal clear waters, without surveillance, or beach bars and with pebbles You have to wear appropriate footwear and access through a stepped passage between two chalets. Advisable’

Potterering along we come to the Cala Piterers.  Jose has been here as well.  ‘It's one of those places that reconnects you with nature. The water has turquoise hues that change with the daylight, and the surroundings are beautifully preserved. There are naturally shaded areas that allow you to take a break from the sun, and the environment is respectful. Highly recommended for a few hours of relaxation.’

On and on. We will follow the tram line along.  https://www.tramalacant.es/?idioma=_es The tramstop has 25 reviews.  The reviews are varied:

Jose - The second station in Cala Pitjeres, and I admit it's good, as it serves a larger population.

Sue - Trendline hairdresser, cut and blow dry, excellent as always, very happy, very safe place to visit at the moment.  Well recommend it.

Nicolas deploys this opinion ‘I spend the summer here and it's amazing. There are English people and a great atmosphere’

And

Yogui ‘It's a picturesque place, full of chalets and restaurants. A path leads down to a small beach, Morro Blanco Cove. There are a couple of beach bars.’

We end in Madrid Street and moving south-wards
