Not with these conditions in 2024

We are heading south. You may have noticed, in the distance, some bloody great land masses.  If we went by car we would be going under deep, long tunnels.  I really like those tunnels,  We aren’t going by car.  We need to search out the N-632 to find a way we can walk.  We will flick between September 2008 and June 2024 in our photos. I’m sure not much has happened between those two dates.

The Merendero La Cabana is closed today.  It will be closed tomorrow. Thereafter we can mooch in at 11am.   Three days ago Luis wrote ‘Good service and very delicious food. Two of those who went were celiacs and they were delighted because the entire menu is for celiacs and without losing quality or flavor. It has a playground and inflatables for children.  Totally recommended.

We better push on.  The Sidreria El Tasqueru us open [it closes tomorrow and wednesday]. It is a cheerful little looking place, snuck in between the AS-356 and GI-2.  23 hours ago Francisco said ‘Good quantity and good food, also with a cider factory next door to buy some bottles.’  A week ago Jesus Noy said ‘Good homemade food. Good service. The waitresses were very attentive and helpful. Cabrales mushrooms are a must-try.’  So, a cider and a nibble is called for. Segismundo is a bit miffed ‘Payment by card is not allowed. Cash payments only.A shame, we would have liked to have dinner there but not with these conditions  in 2024. Technology today reaches almost anywhere in Spain.’

We will end at the Cepsa petrol station.  Like all such institutions it does not recruit much following.  Lets start with KATI a year ago. ‘On the way to Gijon it is the Cepsa gas station with the best price, but you do have to exit the A8 to the national 632, travel 1.5 km, it is 4 cents less, when you do many km it is noticeable, it is a station with a roller washing machine, bathrooms and a few shelves with the typical gas station sweets, I have seen criticism about the attention they took to us well.’ Five months ago Elena said ‘The dirty hose... we had to lie down while the employee sat inertly... with a look like don't bother me... and the price of diesel was more expensive than in the center of Gijón.’  Who can say?  Well, you can. I urge you to go there.

Tomorrow the N-632 splits.
